In concomitanza con la Milano Art Week, dal 2 al 6 aprile 2025, giunge alla sua seconda edizione MEGA Art Fair, la fiera dal format innovativo che affianca opere di gallerie d’arte italiane e internazionali a un coinvolgente programma di performance, eventi e conferenze che si protrae fino a tarda sera. Un’attenzione all’offerta food & drink e all’esperienza dei visitatori, unita all’atmosfera informale di una location fuori dagli schemi rendono MEGA il luogo in cui incontrarsi durante la settimana dell’arte a Milano.
MEGA Art Fair cambia sede ogni anno, abitando uno spazio recuperato di Milano. Quest’anno trova casa nel quartiere Scalo di Porta Romana, a pochi passi dalla Fondazione Prada e nel cortile di Fondazione ICA: un affascinante spazio industriale rimasto fermo agli anni Cinquanta di cui conserva dettagli che ne fanno un gioiello di archeologia industriale. Lo spazio di via Orobia 26 riapre per la prima volta le sue porte proprio per ospitare MEGA Art Fair.
«MEGA è un’esperienza, un luogo di incontro, un modo diverso di confrontarsi con l’arte nel suo vero significato. Si presenta come un hub d’innovazione, uno spazio sociale, un catalizzatore che favorisce la contaminazione tra arte, design, musica, performance e video», spiega Marta Orsola Sironi, ideatrice e curatrice della manifestazione insieme a Mattia Pozzoni e Mauro Mattei.
L’orario di apertura prolungato e gli spazi conviviali rendono MEGA il salotto perfetto sia per gli addetti ai lavori che per una platea più allargata, in nome di un’inclusività che intende avvicinare e unire pubblici nuovi ed eterogenei.
Protagonista di MEGA Art Fair è l’arte contemporanea, con un forte sguardo internazionale. Le 23 gallerie selezionate – in crescita rispetto allo scorso anno – provengono da Londra, Parigi, Tbilisi, Berlino, Città del Messico, Harare oltre che da Milano, Roma, Napoli. Tra queste si segnalano: Carl Kostyal (Londra), Nicoletti (Londra), Monti8 (Roma), Cob Gallery (Londra), Copperfield (Londra), Romero Paprocki (Parigi), Alessandro Albanese (Milano), L.U.P.O. (Milano), Des Bains (Londra), First Floor Gallery (Harare, Zimbabwe), Atipografia (Arzignano, VI), Brooke Benington (Londra), Andrea Festa (Roma), Kera (Tbilisi, Georgia), Setareh (Berlino e Düsseldorf), Third Born (Città del Messico), SLQS (Londra), e Pipeline (Londra).
La fiera si presenta priva di stand, nella prospettiva di un dialogo aperto tra le opere e lo spazio. Oltre alle proposte delle gallerie, MEGA dedica quest’anno una sezione tematica al potere della moda e alla sua capacità di dare una nuova forma al mondo. La sezione speciale, a cura di Marcelle Joseph, esplora, attraverso le voci di artiste donne e queer, il potere dell’abbigliamento e di altri elementi legati alla moda o alla bellezza, come maschere, parrucche e trucco.
Il public program prevede performance, visite guidate da parte dei curatori, cene,
DJ set e talks di approfondimento con artisti e protagonisti del settore, quali Amici Art, AWITA, Artquire e Artcatch.

Just coinciding with “Milan Art Week” not the Milano Art Week, from 2 to 6 April 2025, MEGA Art Fair unveils its second edition. MEGA Art Fair represents a new and revolutionary format for contemporary art in Milan. It features artworks presented by international art galleries in a carefully curated exhibition enriched by an engaging programme of performances, events, and discussions that continues into the evening. MEGA is a hub for art and a space for innovation and dialogue, merging art, design, music, and video. A focus on food & drink and the visitor experience, combined with the informal atmosphere of an unconventional location make MEGA the place to meet during art week in Milan.
MEGA Art Fair serves as a cultural salon for collectors, professionals, and visitors to connect and interact. Its extended opening hours and attention to quality food and beverage offerings ensure inclusivity, attracting a broader audience than traditional art fairs. It changes venue every year, inhabiting a reclaimed space in Milan. For the 2025 edition, MEGA finds its home in the Scalo di Porta Romana district, a few steps away from the Fondazione Prada and in the courtyard of the Fondazione ICA. It rediscovers a fascinating industrial space from the 1950s, with details that make it a jewel of industrial archaeology. The space is located at via Orobia 26 and will reopen its doors for the first time to host the MEGA Art Fair.
‘MEGA is an experience, a meeting place, a different way of engaging with art in its true meaning. It presents itself as a hub of innovation, a social space, a catalyser that encourages contamination between art, design, music, performance and video,’ explains Marta Orsola Sironi, curator and founder of the event together with Mattia Pozzoni and Mauro Mattei.

The protagonist of MEGA Art Fair is contemporary art, with a strong international focus. The 23 selected galleries – an increase in number from the previous edition- come from London, Paris, Tbilisi, Berlin, Mexico City, Harare as well as Milan, Rome and Naples. The fair is conceived without booths, presenting an open dialogue between the works and the space. In addition to the artists presented by the galleries, this year MEGA dedicates a special section to the power of fashion and its ability to reshape the world. Curated by Marcelle Joseph, it explores, through the voices of female and queer artists, the power of apparel and other elements related to fashion or beauty, such as masks, wigs and make-up.
The public programme includes performances, curator-led tours, dinners, DJ sets and lectures with artists and key players in the field, such as Artquire, Amici Art, AWITA, and Artcatch.
